AI and Marketing Futurist
Louise began her journey into understanding AI—because she could feel a shift happening, one that was too big to ignore.
She’d spent my career leading marketing and digital transformations, driving customer experience, and helping brands grow, but this felt different.
AI wasn’t just another tool; it was a game-changer.
What started as curiosity quickly became a passion as she realised how powerful AI could be—not just for businesses, but for people.
She saw an opportunity to help leaders like her—people who aren’t coders or data scientists—understand and embrace AI in a way that’s practical, ethical, and human.
Louise threw herself into learning, testing, and exploring, and soon she was helping others do the same.
For her, it’s not about the hype; it’s about using AI to work smarter, lead better, and create real impact.
And this is just the beginning.
With some industry leaders with a shared vision, Louise co-founded the Australian Centre for AI in Marketing (ACAM) to help create a future where every marketer confidently understands, embraces, and benefits from AI.
The acceleration of AI adoption comes as almost eight in ten Australian marketers are set to ramp up AI investment this year, according to Canva research. Analysis from the Harvard Business School shows AI will unlock a 25% boost in productivity and a 40% leap in quality.
As a for-purpose initiative, the centre is not membership-based but is a collaborative organisation committed to supporting the broader marketing community. We aim to provide access to research, knowledge, and upskilling through research, scholarships, free upskilling sessions, and low bono consulting to not-for-profits. Find out more.
Founder, Australian Centre for AI in Marketing (ACAM)
Marketing leaders today face a defining moment.
The rise of AI presents immense opportunities, but it also raises important questions:
Is my marketing plan AI ready?
Is my Team AI ready?
Am I AI ready?
We are on a journey to provide the answers, strategy & support that marketing leaders need.
The pro-purpose Australian Centre for AI in Marketing has been founded by prominent marketing leaders Louise Cummins, former CMO of World Vision Australia; Jodie Sangster, former CEO of ADMA and CMO of IBM, Rochelle Tognetti, former Deloitte CMO and partner and Douglas Nicol, former strategy partner at The Works, part of Capgemini.
As a non membership based model, this initiative is being funded by our founding team as a demonstration of our shared belief in this mission. Over time, we aim to establish a sustainable funding model, with profits from our consulting arm (ai-ready consulting) to be reinvested to further support marketers and expand our reach.
Vision
To create a future where every marketer in Australia confidently understands, embraces, and benefits from AI, driving better results for themselves, their company and the industry.
